Many clients have been wearing orthotics to help alleviate foot pain, but many still suffer with foot pain and things like plantar fasciitis. Though orthotics can be helpful, there are usually muscle issues that are causing foot pain.
In an initial assessment, we test the mobility and strength of not just your feet and ankles, but also your lower and upper legs, hips, pelvis, and low back.
Often, we find that there is a pattern of tightness and weakness in various muscles that leads to improper movement, which leads to foot pain.
Some things that my clients have found helpful include:
- This Foot brace to wear at night for plantar fasciitis
- This strap for stretching
- A series of stretches and/or strengthening exercises that target the correct muscles that need it.
- Hands-on muscle and joint work in your individualized session
